ABOUT ME
My name is Kyle Larson and I graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts, and a minor in Media Design, Production, and Technology. For me, video and photography are not just a career choice; it is my passion. I am experienced in preproduction, production, and postproduction. Capturing the content for a mission or a production is a very important process. Very rarely do you get more than one chance to capture something great, so you must be prepared.
I currently work for Lockheed Martin as a Visual Media Sr. in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to this, I spent nearly 5 years as an Aerial Photographer, providing aerial photo and video support for the F-22 Raptor at Edwards Air Force Base. I also spent two years as an Aerial Photographer for Media Fusion at Edwards AFB, where I flew with the 418th Flight Test Squadron providing photography, and high speed video for flight test operations, primarily on the C-17. I have been obsessed with aviation since I was a kid, so to me, this is a dream job. Having the opportunity to work here has given me the chance to work with some of the brightest and most experienced professionals in the aerospace industry, and use state-of-the-art equipment to capture content.
Working in the automotive industry previously has given me the opportunity to photograph some amazing cars. From supercharged Mustangs, to classic Broncos, I have been able to work with these classic cars in both studio and location shoots. Being able to see these project cars develop, and photograph them along the way makes every single day exciting. It's always rewarding when you find the perfect location to photograph these vehicles, and create a picture that stuns the viewer.
One of my favorite hobbies is air show photography. I travel to multiple airshows every year, from Thunder Over Michigan and the Traverse City Cherry Festival in Michigan, to the Los Angeles County Air Show and the MCAS Miramar Air Show in Southern California. These air shows consist of some of the most experienced pilots in the world, and often feature pieces of aviation history you might never see anywhere else. I have always been fascinated with aviation and the aerospace industry, and airshows are one of my favorite places to be.
